PET OF THE MONTH :

Meet Crash!
Pet of the month - Noah and Zoe - Hillcrest Animal Rescue

Breed: Border Collie
Sex: Male

Crash is a very handsome Border Collie who is definitely one-of-a-kind. He is a gentle, laid back dog who can deal with just about anything you throw at him. He is as comfortable curled up on the couch as he is walking around downtown Fort Worth during the Main Street Arts festival with the crowd pressing in on all sides. Crash is great with other dogs, big or small, and he has fun running around the backyard with his foster sisters, but is just as happy to take a nap in his crate. Most importantly, Crash is an ideal family dog. The only exceptions being are that Crash should not be in a home with cats or very young children. He is laid-back enough to let kids swing from his neck, however, and frisky enough to play "WWF" style while his foster dad body slams him and chases him all over the house. Don't feel too bad for him though, Crash gets his own shots in, but he is ready to calm down and get belly rubs as soon as the game is over. Crash is extremely intuitive and will welcome anyone into your home that you welcome. He is, however, very protective of his home and family. Weighing in at around 60 pounds and completely fearless, he won't hesitate to protect a member of his family. Bottom line on Crash: he is one terrific dog with great personality who would make an excellent companion and protector for anyone single, or married with children. Thanks. PetFinder Page.

ADOPTABLE PETS:

Please be sure to check out the animals at your local animal shelter. Many of these animals are in danger of being destroyed if they do not find foster or forever homes!

MORE INFORMATION ON ADOPTIONS:

Consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, horses or pot-bellied pigs! We try to keep our kids photos and bios updated, but theres not always enough time in the day! If youre looking for a specific breed or personality, send us an e-mail, and well be happy to let you know if we have someone that would be a fit with your family!

We have a few strict requirements:

  • We only adopt to people seeking a friend/companion animal.
  • Current or previous pet owners should have good vet references.
  • Current companion animals must be spayed or neutered if they are of age unless there is a medical reason for not having done so.

We require that you complete an application for adoption. This helps us determine who might be a good match for your environment and that you meet our adoption requirements. We look at each application based on the needs and requirements of the animal in question. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a time for you to meet the animal(s) of interest. We ask that all members of your family be present for this meeting.

We stay in touch with all of our adopters to be sure that you, your family and new friend are all doing well and are happy together. You are always welcome to contact us. If, at any time, you cannot keep an animal you adopt from us, we require that you return the animal to us.

Our adoption fees vary. Our minimum adoption fee for cats is $85, for dogs - $150, for horses - $300-400. We use 100% of the adoption fees to offset our rescue expenses. We also appreciate and use 100% all other gifts to take care of our rescued animals.
